Musique à la Mode was formed by five musician friends from Yale and Juilliard who wanted to create a "boutique" chamber music group that would consist of dynamic instrumentalists and composers interested in producing music experiences that go beyond the traditional walls of classical concerts.   Musique à la Mode is currently comprised of seven core members spanning the instrument range:  2 pianists, a mezzo-soprano, a clarinetist, a flutist, a violist, and a violinist.  In addition, they frequently collaborate with the Tessera String Quartet, one of New York City's most promising new ensembles.

In addition to the vast repertoire possibilities available with our current instrumental roster, we often welcome guest performers to augment our programs.  In the past, we have collaborated with composers and musicians such as Gabriela Frank, Gordon Beeferman, Lowell Liebermann, Adam Silverman, and Amy Barston.
